Craigslist has loads of scams in the online dating classified ads or the casual relationships section which have scams such as russian dating type scams with girls which are probably men that contact you pretending to be in the UK or just escorts looking for money. I first discovered Kerrang Dating around a week ago and i decided to sign up, as like many other dating sites there's only very little you can view without creating an account. I usually just move on when this happens, as there's rarely any tempting reason i would sign up with hardly anything being shown. I browsed the profiles for around 20 minutes or so and decided to log out. The next day i logged back in again and discovered i had 10 messages! That's 10 messages in just under 24 hours. I clicked on one of the messages to read it, but was then directed to a upgrade page. Basically, as a free member i'm unable to read messages and in order to do so i have to pay. I immediately suspected this was a con, becuase having been a member of various free dating websites before, i've never had anything near 10 messages in such a short space of time. I'm a male and considering i hadn't sent any messages either, this is suspect. There's no photo on my profile and none of the details filled in. The only thing they can possibely know about me is my age, gender, username (with gives nothing away), and location, with is set on Manchester for some reason, even though i live no where near Manchester. I logged back in around a week later and discovered i had another 15 messages. All of the messages appear to be evenly spread out over the past 7 days. Another notable point, of all the 25 messages, the majority of them are from women over 40, a few of them in their thirties, and one 24 year old. (I'm 27 by the way) All of them also have a profile photo. It appears there's more older woman on the site than younger woman, which i would of thought something like Kerrang would have more younger members, similar to like Plenty Of Fish for example. Above the list of messages, there's something at the top metioning "bolt-ons". Including "Reply for free - allow anyone to read and reply to your messages", this costs 4.99 per month. "Contact for↧

Is badoo fake?
Badoo is reported as a haven for fake profiles and romance scammers. Badoo are also reported to send out email messages using peoples profiles for the purpose of generating sign ups to their so called dating website. Some users state that they had found out that badoo have sent messages on behalf of them even when they are no longer using the website, others speculate that around only 5% of users are probably real. The site is also supposedley a pain to remove yourself from once you sign up. I personally had all of these problems with this website way back in 2009 when I created a free account out of curiousity.What are your experiences with badoo?

Username MRS. We met on badoo.com, I have since reported him to that site. He told me he was a widow and that his wife died of cancer 2 years ago and he had a 4 year old daughter. He moved over from miama florida springs to Manchester, England when his father died. His wife was American and his mom lives with him as a full time nanny to his daughter Amanda. He came on really strong and asked if I was on facebook which I was and so was he.
We chatted back and forth he told me that he was a mechanical engineer self employed and worked all over the world. He had just gained a contract in west africa and was flying from manchester to nigeria on 1 dec at 8am.
He advised that he would still have to message me whilst there. He spoke to me on the morning of mon 3 dec but then heard nothing til wed 5th dec where he told me that he and two others had been attacked by armed robbers at his construction site and that his wallet and cards had been stolen, he had 10k inside his wallet....he was in hospital His Glory Hospital in Nigeria, he had a bang on his head...and one guy had a broken hand and the other broken legs...it was a small private hospital.
He said he needed 10k to clear his construction goods in order to start work. He didn't have this and said his mom was sending 4k and two of his friends 2k each and would I send 2k to him.
Alarm bells were ringing and I told him that I didn't have the money, it was all baby if you really love me you will find a way. I just told him that god would find a way. I have reported him to crimestoppers.org and decided to send him £10 gbp to get a transaction number etc to forward onto crimestoppers.
I asked why he could not phone his bank and ask them to transfer the monies to him but he said that he did not have a bank account in Nigeria, and I said transfer the money from his account to either his mom's account or my account and he said that his account was still in the name of his late wifes and him and he woul![]()

Met Andrew Balder on match. Claimed to be a successful geologist living in UK Kent and plan to retire in 2 years. He was bidding for a big contract to work in my country and had to work in Nigeria for 3 weeks before getting the big contract.
On the night of his sub contract trip to Nigerian, he texted me with an emergency to get him a laptop.
Upon arriving Nigeria , he kept pestering for monetary help to pay for high duty taxes for his equipments.
I knew it was a scam once he asked for money . A respectable business man as he claimed should not be asking someone he has not met for money. He got nothing from me !
